New Year to witness Tiscali’s Official rebranding as TalkTalk
It has been reported that the popular internet service provider operating in the United Kingdom, Tiscali UK, would be sometime in January 2010 officially rebranded as TalkTalk. This follows the acquisition of the broadband service providing company earlier this year by Carphone Warehouse. Tiscali was previously owned by Tiscali, an Italian internet providing firm.
It has also been reported that a TalkTalk spokesperson has confirmed the fresh move, alongside the significant notification that brand Tiscali would be no more heard in the United Kingdom from January 7 2010. As a matter of fact, Carphone Warehouse is also the owner of UK ISP AOL Broadband besides TalkTalk.
The significance of the rebranding is that the customers of Tiscali UK would automatically be moved over on to the network of TalkTalk, even though it would seldom happen immediately. It is understood that the broadband provider would only be completing the transition over a year’s time. As per the transition measures, the monthly bills of the customers of Tiscali would be brought in line with that of TalkTalk.
The internet service provider has suggested that it expects subscribers signing up for the firm’s products would sign up for broadband and phone bundle packages instead of standalone broadband packages. The company has further confirmed its plans to contact all remaining broadband customers of Tiscali in a very short time.
TalkTalk is popular in the UK mainly for its showcasing some of the cheapest business broadband packages in the country as Tiscali has been renowned for its broadband and phone bundle packages.
