Unreliable Broadband annoys One in Four UK Businesses

It has been reported that the telecommunications regulator of the United Kingdom, Ofcom has unearthed reliability issues regarding broadband services for a number of businesses in the United Kingdom, although the majority were customers content with the services.

The survey carried out by the telecoms watchdog that participated one thousand two hundred UK businesses as respondents found that twenty eight per cent of them were bugged with problems related to the reliability of the broadband internet connections they had signed up for.

The research found that twenty four per cent of the respondent business firms had switched either their mobile broadband supplier or fixed line broadband providers in the past four years. Further, four-fifths of the businesses that participated in the research have described themselves as satisfied broadly with the service standards delivered to them by the providers, despite the lamentations of the unhappy 24 per cent.

The Ofcom report stated that the survey carried out by them found out that most business consumers were content with the overall service as well as the value for money received by them, besides certain other crucial aspects such as the range and availability of the services.

Nevertheless, the watchdog also took pain to warn the the consumers that the broadband providers were not rolling out adequate service to help the business users capitalise on the opportunities offered by the competition. Some measures were also suggested by the regulator such as the launch of more uncomplicated models for effective price ans service comparison.
