UK Online was launched as a dialup service provider in 1994. Ten years later, UK Online launched its 1MB broadband package. In 2006, the ISP was acquired by a LLU provider, Easynet. Soon, the ISP launched 8MB broadband service and currently, UK Online offers high speed broadband package with download speed up to 16Mbps.

BSkyB acquired Easynet and UKOnline and the merger helped UKOnline broadband provider to grow faster and increase its customer base.
